Our School
Sunbeams Lutheran School has provided a quality Christian education program for more than 40 years! In 1978, Lutheran Church of the Cross committed to extending their ministry outreach through the establishment of Sunbeams Lutheran School.
As the years have progressed, Sunbeams has evolved from a Preschool and Kindergarten program to also include elementary school, first through fifth grade. Each year brings new joys as we grow in different and exciting ways.

At Sunbeams Lutheran School we believe each student is a precious gift from God! Our school program has been designed to help prepare each student for their future school and life experiences by providing a strong foundation of faith and education. Each student will be encouraged to be the best they can be, using their God given talents and abilities, and become life-long learners. Through developmentally appropriate and research-based learning opportunities, all students experience and learn new things, explore many new challenges, and become an integral part of our community.
Our Classrooms
Our multi-aged preschool and pre-kindergarten classes create a strong foundation for students, providing a supportive environment in which students grow emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. Instruction is provided with project-based methods in mind, building a community of active learners. Students gain social and foundational academic skills while diving deep into various units of study including nursery rhymes, countries around the world, transportation, dinosaurs, the ocean, the five senses, and major holidays within our Christian religion.
Kindergarten through Fifth grade classrooms are rich in engaging learning experiences, research-based curriculum, and instruction of our Christian beliefs. Currently our language arts curriculum by Collaborative Classroom helps foster successful readers and writers, meeting students’ individual needs through various instructional strategies. Our mathematic curriculum by Singapore encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills while ensuring each student gains a solid understanding of mathematics. Science and Social studies are taught through a hands-on, project-based model, creating authentic, meaningful learning experiences while simultaneously meeting the current academic standards.
Our school becomes a family especially as we connect through weekly chapel time, outreach ministries, and various school events. We would love to connect with you more to discuss our school and how it might be a perfect fit for your family.
