Monday, May 11^th:

Page 193 for 3^rd Grade focuses on Drawing Conclusions; 4^th grade focuses on Problem and Solution.

Grammar Page 167 for 3^rd grade focuses on adjectives; 4^th grade focuses on adverbs.

Spelling Pages 167–168 introduces this week’s spelling words.

3^rd Grade Math: Amazing Race: Elapsed Time Edition will allow students to practice using the skills taught in Unit 10 to “travel” around the world answering questions related to time.

4^th Grade Math: Pages 168–169 will focus on creating new shapes from old by adding or removing cubes.

Memory: Write your verse in print and cursive.

 

Tuesday, May 12^th:

3^rd Grade: Read Two Bad Ants and answer the 5 comprehension questions.  Send your responses via email.

4^th Grade: Read The Malachite Palace and answer the 5 comprehension questions.  Send your responses via email.

Grammar Page 168 for 3^rd Grade focuses on adjectives that compare; 4^th grade focuses on adverbs that compare.

3^rd Grade Math: Pages 138–144 will focus on reading and interpreting scaled picture graphs and bar graphs.

4^th Grade Math: Page 170 will focus on understanding and finding the volume of a solid in cubic units.

 

Wednesday, May 13^th:

Page 195 will answer more comprehension questions about this week’s stories.

Page 196 for 3^rd Grade will focus on Author and Title Search; 4^th grade focuses on using a card catalog.

Grammar Page 169 for 3^rd Grade focuses on adjectives that compare; 4^th grade focuses on adverbs that compare.

Spelling Page 170 focuses on this week’s words.

3^rd Grade Math: Pages 145–146 will focus on generating, showing, and interpreting measurement data by making a line plot.  If you need extra help, go to the Week 6 page and there is another line plot video.

4^th Grade Math: Page 171 will focus on finding the volume of solids made up of 1–cm cubes.

Thursday, May 14^th:

3^rd Grade Math: Pages 147–150 will focus on reviewing concepts in Unit 11.

4^th Grade Math: Pages 172–173 will focus on finding the volume of cuboids in different measures using the formula.

 

Friday, May 15^th:

Page 199 for 3^rd grade focuses on context clues; 4^th grade focuses on synonyms and antonyms.

Grammar Pages 171–172 concludes our study for this week’s concept.

Spelling Page 172 concludes our study for this week’s words.  Take a spelling test.

3^rd Grade Math: Unit 11 Assessment

4^th Grade: Pages will focus on reviewing concepts in Unit 11.

Memory: Respond to the following question: During this time of uncertainty, many things have changed. With the changes, there have been unsurprising blessings. What are some things that we can be thankful for? Write a list and explain why you are thankful for them.

Reading: The goal for each student is to read at least 20 minutes a day.  Each week, students will write a summary of what they read during the week, which is in our homework packet.  Please write the author and title of the book as well as the page number you started and ended the week on.  Send an email with your summary of this week’s reading.
