- Spelling Page 144 focuses on continued spelling practice.
- Page 168: 3rd grade focuses on making judgements and decisions; 4th grade focuses on making inferences.
- 3rd Grade Math: Pages 97–98 will focus on finding equivalent fractions.
- 4th Grade Math: Pages 126–127 will focus on identifying figures with line symmetry and drawing symmetric figures.
- Tuesday, April 7th:
- Grammar Page 144 focuses on using an apostrophe.
- Memory Practice – write your memory verse (John 3:16 can be found on the bottom of your page) in cursive twice.
- 3rd Grade Math: Pages 99–100 will focus on finding equivalent fractions.
- 4th Grade Math: Pages 128–129 will focus on recognizing that the two halves of a symmetric figure are congruent in addition to identifying and drawing lines of symmetry in a figure.

- Wednesday, April 8th:
- 3rd Grade Reading: Read The Many Lives of Benjamin Franklin to an adult and discuss the 5 comprehension questions. Then complete the comprehension activities on page 165.
- 4th Grade Reading: Read The Rajah’s Rice to an adult and discuss the 5 comprehension questions. Then complete the comprehension activities on page 165.
- 3rd Grade Math: Pages 101–102 will focus on finding the simplest form of a fraction.
- 4th Grade Math: Pages 130 – 131 will focus on completing a symmetric figure on a grid given one half and the line of symmetry.
- Thursday, April 9th:
- 3rd Grade Reading: Read Animal Fact/Animal Fable and write your answers to the 5 comprehension questions. Email answers to sroot@sunbeamslutheranschool.com
- 4th Grade Reading: Read Mom’s Best Friend and write your answers to the 5 comprehension questions. Email answers to sroot@sunbeamslutheranschool.com
- Grammar Page 145 focuses on possessive pronouns.
- 3rd Grade Math: Page 103 will focus on comparing fractions using equivalent fractions.
- 4th Grade Math: Pages 132–139 will review the concepts covered during the geometry unit.
- Friday, April 10th:
- Spelling Page 146 is a final review of spelling words. Please give a spelling test to your student.
- Page 169: 3rd grade focuses on root words; 4th grade focuses on context clues.
- 3rd Grade Math: Pages 104–105 will focus on measuring the length of objects in units plus a fraction of the next unit. Also placing fractions on a number line as the number of whole units plus a fraction of a unit.
- 4th Grade Math: Take the Geometry Unit assessment. Please treat this as extra practice.
- Reading: The goal for each student is to read at least 20 minutes a day. Each week, students will write a summary of what they read during the week, which is in our homework packet. Please write the author and title of the book as well as the page number you started and ended the week on. Send an email with your summary of this week’s reading.
- Memory: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
- Holy Week Family Devotion: During Monday’s Zoom meeting we read the Palm Sunday devotion. Each day from now until Easter please read each days devotion. Each day, have your child write a response to the “Think About It” questions that are in the orange box. Please submit these via email by Monday, April 13th.
